STONE CIRCLES
Long ago, it is reputed that there were many stone circles in North Pembrokeshire, but most of them have been destroyed by the march of progress. There is one fine one left -- at Gors Fawr, near Mynachlogddu. It is not very spectacular, but many people believe it to be a place of powerful earth energy nonetheless. There is another oval stone setting called "Bedd Arthur" (King Arthur's Grave) on Mynydd Presely, not far from Carn Meini. Recently a further stone circle has been discovered by dowsing on the slopes of Carningli not far from Newport. The stones had all fallen down and were buried in the turf, and they have now been re-erected. the site has not been examined by archaeologists, and so little is known about its age or its purpose.
