Brian John's five novels of the Angel Mountain Saga are best-sellers in Wales and are beginning to attract fans from all over the world.

All the stories are set in the area around Carningli and Newport (the base for our tours) in the period 1796 - 1855, and the heroine Martha Morgan starts as a pregnant and suicidal teenager and ends as the matriarch of a large and successful family. She writes the whole story ion her own words. She is beautiful, passionate, feisty, and strong-willed, and she has as many faults as virtues. She has an extremely eventful life! Readers of all ages have dubbed her "Mother Wales" because she seems to personify all that is good and bad about this little country.
